WSLS Meets with Firm Client to Discuss Seven Month Separation from Her Son

On June 21st, local TV station WSLS met with one of our firm’s clients to discuss her experience in being detained at a border facility back in 2016. Shortly after crossing the US border, the mother was separated from her son and then forced to wait seven months and three days for when she could be reunited.

Her experience, along with countless others, highlights the trauma inflicted on the vulnerable and young along the border. Our firm strongly believes that few families chose to uproot their lives for the chance of an unknown future in a country they’ve never visited – these families are escaping widespread violence and an ineffective government who does little to protect them.
